About Me

I was born and raised in Queens, New York, where I spent my childhood playing sports and getting lost in the trees of Alley Pond Park. My appreciation for the nature expanded while attending the University of Connecticut, where I earned degrees in English, Education, and Curriculum & Instruction. From adventures in the park as a kid to the breathtaking New England foliage in adolescence, I realized my profound connection with nature, pushing my curiosity to explore the world.

 

My journey as a teacher took me to London, England and Guayama, Puerto Rico, where I had opportunities to travel Europe and Latin America, immersing myself in diverse cultures and landscapes. These experiences not only shaped my worldview but also inspired the fiction book I published in 2018. Travel and writing went hand-in-hand as I discovered myself while exploring the world. I volunteered in Chintsa, South Africa, building school furniture and playgrounds. My volunteer work outside of Melbourne, Australia, engaging in environmental restoration, inspired me to lead outdoor clean-ups in parks and beaches with my students. Through travel, I’ve found awe in the interconnectedness of cultures and the Earth’s beauty, a humbling experience that continuously enriches my perspective.

 

With over a decade of experience as an educator, I have stayed curious and captivated by learning. I have connected with learners of all ages, from young children to adults. No matter the audience or the goal, I specialize in building the path to the desired outcomes. As a Montessori Educator and Curriculum Designer in Denver, Colorado, I’ve honed a learner-centered pedagogy, creating engaging content and experiences that will be remembered. Learning is not merely depositing information; it’s fostering a relationship with the content where learners can apply their knowledge meaningfully. This is why I am passionate about learning experience design.
